ATF lanes were a continued improvement from Designated Premises in the U.K.
to enable vehicle operators and vehicle repair workshops to test Commercial Vehicles in their own designated test lane, rather than going to a DVSA test site.
The Everquip #TestPit is a prefabricated steel inspection pit, that meets DVSA requirements for testing of commercial vehicles in the U.K. Safely and correctly meeting the standards set out by DVSA to open an ATF test lane.
The ATF test lane needs to ensure that the premises meet the requirements set out to comply with an approved layout. The DVSA test pit needs to be safely accessible from both ends when the longest vehicle intended to be tested at the ATF lane is over the pit.
The most used layout for the ATF testing pit is a 13m uninterrupted working length steel fabricated pit, with side entry and exit tunnels at both ends.

- 1.0m wide to also accommodate class 4 and 7 vehicles
- 1..6m depth to allow for testing of low skirted vehicles
- Step up platform at 1.4m depth
- Recess box to accommodate pump unit of play detectors unless for PET REG

- Optional Radius Plates and Shaker Plates for testing of class 4 and 7 vehicles.
